    Studio Director

    We are currently seeking an exceptional Architect to join our team as a Studio Director.   The role of Studio Director consists of:

    Leading our talented team of 7-8 architects/designers to produce high design, high quality design efficiently and effectively, with assistance from the Principal.  Directing and overseeing design production, project budgets, schedules, quality, contracts as well as consultant, GC and client relations (in conjunction with the Principal).  Managing a project or two, with support from the team.  Developing design, and ensuring proper execution according to the design intent, and broader firm principles.


    • B.Arch (5 year professional) or M.Arch preferred.
    • 15 years + Post graduate experience.
    • Demonstrated ability to successfully lead projects through all phases from entitlements to CA.
    • Exceptional design, management, organization, and communication skills.
    • Strong documentation and construction administration skills.
    • Minimum 5 years prior residential architecture experience required.
    • Highly organized, collaborative and detail oriented.
    • At least 5-7 years of prior proven leadership experience.
    • Broader practice management experience welcomed.
    • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.



    We are currently seeking an exceptional Architect to join our team as a Senior Architect/Project Manager.   As part of a small office, successful candidates will have the opportunity to collaborate with a team to develop skills, assume responsibilities and leadership in areas where the candidate has proven abilities.  As an integral part of a team of 7-8 people, candidates should have excellent design, communication and interpersonal skills. We look for smart, talented, creative, positive, efficient, organized and self-starting individuals. We are located in a bright open office near the Embarcadero and Jackson Square neighborhoods, steps from the waterfront, shops and restaurants.


    We are currently seeking an Architect with a minimum of 15 years of work experience.  Of those, a minimum of 5 years of experience in single family modern residential architecture is preferred, along with a depth of knowledge of all phases of design.  Selected candidate will work with the principal and will direct junior staff to develop, detail, manage and coordinate design and construction documents, often working on several projects at a time.  Candidates with proven experience in studio management are encouraged to apply and would be considered for a larger studio operations role as well, including Studio Director.   


    • Masters of Architecture are preferred.
    • Project management experience with custom, high design projects, preferable single family homes.
    • Construction document preparation, construction administration, and coordination with general contractors and consultants.
    • Demonstrated ability to solve complex problems efficiently and effectively.
    • Ability to move with ease between the various levels of the design process, from conceptual design to construction detailing.
    • Knowledge of building codes and prior work with Bay Area planning and building agencies preferred.
    • Efficiency in AutoCAD, a proficiency in Microsoft Office, preferably in SketchUp and Abode Creative Suite as well.
    • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.


    Architectural designer

    We are currently seeking an Architectural Designer.  As part of a small office, the Architectural Designer will have the opportunity to work on and learn about multiple aspects of the projects, with responsibilities including drafting, modeling, design explorations, assistance with design development, assistance in generating documentation (schematic, design development, permit, construction documents, etc.), physical and computer model making, and miscellaneous contributions to the project such as setting up presentations, ordering samples, product research, and assisting the team.  The Architectural Designer will also collaborate with and learn from the team to develop skills, assume responsibilities and ideally and ultimately become a part of the leadership long term.  As an integral part of a team of 7-8 people, candidates must have excellent design, communication, interpersonal and graphic skills.  Our team consists of talented, intelligent, resourceful, creative, positive, tenacious, detail oriented, thorough and self-starting individuals, and we look for the same in this position.


    • M. Arch degree preferred, B. Arch recipients with production experience encouraged to apply.
    • A minimum of 1-3 years of professional experience.
    • High skill level and efficiency in AutoCAD.
    • Competent modeling and rendering skills, preferably in SketchUp and by hand.
    • Construction document preparation experience is preferred.
    • Ability to prioritize workload, often working on multiple projects at a time.
    • Ability to work and complete tasks with minimal supervision, while also being able to judge when to seek guidance.
    • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
